Do both, I manage it. Your family are more likely to appreciate the photos of them posed in front of landmarks and as a group on the beach, in the bar etc. than the 'arty ones'.
Sunsets. There is no 'correct' exposure. This is how I've done it.
I use the auto exposure on my Nikon and (using a tripod) adjust the exposure compensation -1, -2 and +1 and +2 and take a shot on each. Use blend layers function in photoshop. You get pretty good results.
Take the photos in...
Somewhere in between 12 & 80. I never really liked the muppets though. I guessed the character was a muppet but could he easily have been from sesame st.
Someone at work passed the comment: "doesn't that guy look like Beaker off the Muppets" so I already knew.
but just out of interest and...
I've got some upholstery swatches and it is too thick but what you describe sounds great. Valves and a lovely brown leather = total retro and unique. Nice:cool:
I buy the odd charity shop handbag for the leather. You usually pay £2 to £3 and its the perfect thickness. I'm going to give my newly acquired Trip a nice brown coat made from a small leather handbag for £1.50. I was debating whether to or not but there's a nasty 'nose rub' on the back that...

Fair comment, all of you. I read in a lengthy article elsewhere about fake Luftwaffe Leicas that the big giveaway was mm rather than cm on the lens. I admit the shutter release looks right though (the other give away). I just mentioned it...
Dunno about his Leica I've not bothered to look...
...so what about security cameras? 25 frames a second 24 hours a day so that's nearly 4.5 million photos in a two year period. Are my council breaching the peace?
edit: I had a look at the police forum discussion...
Seems that nobody has noticed the lens is 50mm not 5cm. Usually millimetre markings means a Russian fake as Leitz always used centimetres. As far as I know.
I got a Eos 300 (film ) body for £6 post paid off ebay it is mint with fresh batteries.. most others go for about £6 - 20. Course shops have to make a profit.
