    OM3 shutter count

I just spoke to Om system rep via WEX a guy called David Smith and he told me this is what they do with every new camera they hold shutter down for a period of time to test, anything from 300-1000 shutters will be fired. Why not just reset it after?

    OM3 shutter count

I’m in contact with them and I sent them a screenshot of the shutter count, although at first they suggested it couldn’t be done! Anyway I’ve gotta wait till tomorrow now when I expect the situation to be resolved. Shame really it’s a beautiful camera.

    OM3 shutter count

I accessed the hidden menu following instruction from Olympus experts on YouTube and it gets to a page with a list of counters, first one being MS mechanical shutter it was 850, I was quite shocked so went back and took a mechanical shot and the number went up to 851 so I guess I’ve done it...

    OM3 shutter count

I’ve just received my brand new OM3 from WEX on checking the camera I done a shutter count and out of the box it has had 850 mechanical shutters fired! This can’t be right can it?

Where do you share your photos?

I use Flickr but I really don’t get it sometimes, the other day there was a ‘photo’ of a pig, totally out of focus, hanging off the end of the frame with rest overexposed yet it had over 80 likes! It was awful…mine on the other hand are all ‘ok’ and attract around 15 likes each, though I did...

    Capture one vs lightroom

I’m a very messy LR user but I love it, tried Affinity, and others found none compare..better the devil you sort of know! Downloaded the month trial of Capture one and found it very usable but LR and PS are £9.99 per month and Capture one is £24!, no brainier for me.

    So far so good

I switched from a 6d mk2 to a Em1 mk3..the whole lot..flashes, triggers, receivers the lot..so far not one regret..Canon gear is amazing..not 1 fault with it…I had an em10 mk2 for street and found I was reaching for the Olympus 95% of the time..mind you I’ve kept the lenses and a 5d mk2!!! Only...

    So far so good

Little by little bit by bit I’m changing permanently from Canon to Olympus, so far my wife hasn’t really noticed…’is that a new camera?” “No love, had it ages” the parcels come and go, delivered while she’s out… my credit card has been hit hard, but a couple of extra shifts a week sort this...

    Canon EOS 7D to a 6D

My bad lol I panicked for him coz I had a 7d Mk2 with Efs lenses and tried to fit one on my 5dmk2..£30 for a new mirror! Could have been worse. Sorry.

    Canon EOS 7D to a 6D

In my simpleton world…yes the 6d mk2 will perform what you need..and no the 7d lenses will not fit..don’t be tempted to try you will damage your mirror..I’m just about to sell a 6d mk2 to LCE Portsmouth, not for any reason other than I want to shoot Olympus..the 6d mk2 is a truly brilliant camera.
