    Trespassing And Photography

A few may have missed my post a few days ago in this thread, but if you are breaking the law whilst using your equipment and it gets damaged, its doubtful you would be insured, maybe the same for personal, accident insurance etc. Of course, you may not have insured yourself or your kit, so this...

Good to hear your mini review Roy, I am still thinking about a 1d IV. More are appearing on the market now, many people maybe picking up a 1dx ii.

It's probably much safer to photograph some ducks down the local pound :)

    Trespassing And Photography

Most of us do this assessment automatically it's part of our perceptual set (a tendency to perceive or notice some aspects of available sensory data and ignore others) so it's automatic. You're less likely to get hit by a bus, as you indicate you don't do overly stupid things. That doesn't...

I am actually, but a bit of pertinent advice leads to informed decisions. Better to think; what if, not, if only. Photography isn't risk free! Believe me, in my job doom and gloom comes as standard! But with risk you need to tell it like it is.

There is a risk, whether the risk will be realised is anyone's guess, based on a range of factors unbeknown to us. I am often alone taking photos of birds in the wild. It's up and out early, sometimes at least a mile or more from anyone else, I could be in the middle of a dense wood. I have...

It's usual in such occupations not to enter derelict buildings or buildings in states of renovation disrepair alone etc. It's a lone worker situation which creates and additional element of risk. It's a typo with they, it was one person. I have known accidents including fatalities in lone worker...

    Trespassing And Photography

The risks involved in travelling to the shop, is the price you pay to feed yourself. In much the same way as the risk of death in a motor vehicle incident is the price you pay for mobility, it's difficult to avoid risk, but it can be calculated and managed. In the early 90's I recall...

Be careful, if its derelict it may be in a dangerous state structurally, it may contain other hazards dependent on the previous use of the building, discarded syringes and needles etc. Assess the risks.

Sounds like MPB are leading at the moment. Sounds like if chopping in, its worth shopping around a bit.

It would appear that MPB offer a much better part ex. That's good to know. I have heard good things about MPB, they have plenty of used stock as well.

Good stuff, I would love to hear your views on the 1d IV. This time last week, I was about to push the bottom on a used Wex 1d IV as well! Going to go for a 500 F4 lens to combine with my 5d 3 instead (for now). Although I do fancy a faster FPS!

I was interested in Parks used. I did contact Park Camera's to enquire about the shutter count on their 1d IV, they told me that they don't display Shutter Counts for Canon Units, as the software that reads this information provides unreliable information for Canon Units specifically. I guess a...
