Only just seen this Chee, sorry. I ended up sending the faulty grip back to DigitalRev via DHL (£75!) and I had a new replacement grip within a week which was great, and more importantly worked exactly as it should.
Just waiting on DR to refund my postage now. I have to say their customer...
Cheers for reply James.
Nope, haven't got that enabled (even though I knew that I just double checked, you never know!)
I'm going to try a different lens and see if that makes any difference at all, but I highly doubt it :|
Hi guys, not posted in a while!
Need some help.
I've just received my Canon BG-E11 grip (ordered from Digital Rev yesterday morning, arrived today - very impressed!) and I've attached it to the camera body but it's not activating the shutter release.
The AF seems to be working with a half...
I'm not a wedding photographer so can't offer any real advice, but I would say put your 5dIII in silent high speed shooting mode during the actual ceremony.
Other than that, best of luck! Look forward to seeing some of your shots.
Hi Kev, sorry to hear your news, very sad. Thanks for your comment, very nice of you, glad it made it you smile.
All the best to you and yours matey, Phil.
Cheers Ruffy, appreciate it!
I am quite pleased with it, can't wait to have another go soon.
Have a go!
I tried to make sure I filmed a good 10-15 mins once or twice a week for a few weeks until I had enough clips on the computer to sift through and pick out the parts I wanted ;)
Cheers Andrew! Yep used manual focus throughout - little bit tricky but I'll persevere with it. I know what you mean about the dark clips, I should have tried to lighten them really. Worth remembering for next time! :)
Thanks Ben, monopod is a great idea! I'll have to get one this weekend ;)...
Hi guys, I posted this recently in the Canon 5dmkIII thread but thought I'd share it here too for some feedback or crit from the Video forum readers.
It's my first ever attempt at using my dslr for filming but I have to say I really enjoyed it! Focusing was tricky at wide open apertures but...
I've just looked the 650d up as didn't know that much about it - looks like its got some great features as it goes! My brother is thinking of getting a 550d, might advise him to check that one out first :)
Thanks again guys, chuffed with your comments!
That's interesting about the autofocusing Dave, didn't know that. Would be interested to see the 650D in action to see how smooth it is etc.
I'm really pleased I've had a go now, look forward to doing some more in the future.
