Did you buy from them, I assume you refer to Microglobe? I've read mixed reviews but I'm interested in a Marumi 82mm CPL filter, which is nearly half price so obviously a grey import.
It's cheaper buying through ebay so I guess you have the Paypal protection should anything go wrong.
Thanks for the info, I'm abit concerned now, I don't want to buy it and it doesn't fit, although returning to Amazon will be easier than ebay etc.
I assume you're using an adapter with the 100mm filter, any reason you went for that size or did you already have it?
A similar price from Amazon themselves, so I think I'm going to buy it from them - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hoya-Digital-Circular-Polarizing-Filter/dp/B000KZ760M
So without doing a lot of PP work how would you remove reflections on cars if you don't use a CP filter?
I have to admit the...
I use J17-J29 mainly, there are quite a few around Enfield now, J24-J26.
The ones I've seen are in the location above and when they first installed them and no one realised they flashed constantly!
I believe it's every 3 years you can do the course.
Living next to the M25 I use it a lot and always stick to the limit (or slightly over) now, although I can remember where the vast majority of the cameras are. I have seen the cameras flash in the gantries when the temporary speed restrictions are in place and also the ones mounted to the side...
I now have 2 new lenses! :D
I ordered the Tokina 11-20 for next day delivery so I could take it away with me and unfortunately the courier never bothered to deliver it! A neighbour took it in while I was a way so have only had a quick play indoors. I'm impressed with how much difference in zoom...
That's good then, I was hoping that might be the case and with reflections it'll work fine.
Those 2 examples don't look too bad to me but I've never really used mine for skies but examples I have seen show quite a difference from one side to another.
Thinking about the filter I have it might...
I got one of these from a different seller and it arrived from China in just over a week. The quality is fantastic and I have no reason to suspect it's not genuine. I have a smaller Lowepro that I bought over here and the quality is the same IMO...
I am on the verge of ordering a Tokina 11-20 but have been looking into filters for it. I only own one other filter which is a Hoya 52mm CP and I use it for photographing cars with the Nikon 35mm. I have read that CP filters on a wide angle lens can cause strange effects but this seems to be for...
I didn't look at this one but did consider it's replacement, which is the 12-28. I do like my bokeh's though and have seen some great shots with the 11-20, which is f2.8 compared to f4. Plus there does seem to be quite a difference between 11 and 12mm.
So I've been doing alot reading over the last few days and think I'm nearly ready to buy!
A grey import Nikon 70-300 is £330, which comes with 1 years warranty from Hdew, saving £100 from the high street price. If I go for this one then I might as well get an import over used and £430 is too...
The 11-20 is around £100 more, apart from abit more reach is there any major differences between them? TBH the cost of the 11-16 was already pushing it. I have been considering getting it from this seller on ebay, they have sold a few and get good feedback -...
I have read about the Nikon, Tamron and Sigma lenses, with the latter being the worse performer out of the 3. The Tamron does sound very good but the Nikon seems to focus a little quicker base on what I've read. Whether that is a difference I would notice I'm not sure, I guess someone who has...
I've had my D5000 for a few years now and would like a couple of new lenses, which after some reading I've decided on these two.
I already have the Nikon 55-200, which I use for wildlife and trips to the zoo, plus occasionally when I go to the stock car racing. I love the lens but I would like...
I've been in touch with Nikon and they advised that I send it off to them to be inspected. They will then give me a repair quote but if I decline it I have to pay a £14 admin charge. Unless they offer to do it for free cos it's a manufacturing fault (they won't say if they will) I might be...
