    Flash for D70

Another alternative is a Metz unit. They support TTL and the Nikon CLS system on your D70 I replaced my Nikon units with Metz a couple of years ago and from a personal perspective I actually prefer the quality of the light I get from them. They were less expensive than the Nikon equivalents too!

    How to best spend £1500...??

Wow you've really set yourself a task there. Photography first.... Go to a reputable camera shop and try out a few different units. Truth be told it's really hard to buy a duff camera these days, but if you go with either Nikon or Canon you really would struggle to go wrong. Bear in mind...

    Help with a picture

As has been mentioned open up the aperture, (Low f number) and get in nice and close. That should produce the effect you are after. I wrote a REALLY basic introduction tutorial on exposure while ago which covers the effects of shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. I'm new in here and not sure if...

Just found a link to this forum via "LinkedIn" and took a quick peep. Seems like a friendly and constructive place so thought I'd join and say "Hi" and hopefully contribute (with tips and help for others and also always willing to learn more myself) I'm finally a fully fledged and full time...
