If you don't need to change, I probably wouldn't. If you crop loads, then the 45mp is handy. I don't crop much at all, so it's not much use to me.

I ran 10,000 photos through the R5 MKII on the weekend—my findings after shooting close to 2 million photos through R6 and R6 MkII's. Good points. 1. It feels like it has a dynamic range and a little more contrast in the RAW files. Files are lovely. 2. Feels a little better in the hands. 3...

I was hoping it would have been announced already as I would have gone for it, but it's probably about 6 months away by the time they announce it, take pre-orders and then ship so went for the R5 Mkii's instead. Not a bad alternative. lol.

Yeah, I'll try that. In Av, I use the rear dial and control ring for exposure compensation, so I would just use the control ring for exposure compensation. I always use Av with auto ISO within 100-12800, and set my minimum shutter speed to whatever it needs to be for giving time. Then, I just...

From what I can see, HF anti-flicker in electronic mode is only available on the R6 mk2 in M and TV. I use aperture priority a lot, so that wouldn't work for me. I would go to an R3 but lugging two R3's with a 28-70 f2 and an 85 1.2 on each would be absolutely brutal lol. A global shutter...

Yeah, having them die mid-wedding isn't fun. I had a 5d3 die once. For me theres too many reasons to stay on mechanical. With eletronic shutter the anti-flicker it doesn't work and the max shutter speed is also limited. Plus i would have to switch back to flash use as well.

At what point do you replace a camera? Both my R6 Mk2s are about to hit 500,000 shots, all mechanical. They're rated to 400,000, but I thought mirrorless would be a little different. I'm a little concerned they could die at any moment.

    Fuji x100

I picked up an x100vi this week as a daily walkabout instead of lumping around my massive wedding setup of R6mk2 and 28-70rf. One question I have is, can you have two separate AF buttons? On my R6, I set up the back button focus for continuous face/eye tracking and the shutter button for...

Sent one of my R6 in for repair to Canon. A new shutter and wobbly hot shoe sorted. The total cost is £430. Shutter replacement seems cheaper on the R6 compared to my 5dmkiv/iii.

After a lot of playing, i think I've nailed the AF on the R6 mkii. I'm not sure what they changed up the terminology of the settings compared to every other Canon I've had. I'll put around 10K+ worth of images through them over the the next 2 weeks, so ill give a proper review then.

Shot a wedding yesterday using one of the R6's, didn't get time to set the second one up. Please Canon, why don't you let us do the Save settings like the R5! Took around 2500 shots on it. Anyway, I'm a little disappointed with the Mk2. I actually think I prefer the AF on the mk1. It seems to...

2 x R6 MK2s will be landing tomorrow from Panamoz. Looking forward to having a play. I'll send off one of my R6's for repair and report (new shutter/hot shoe) back the costs. I have platinum CPS, so it should be done quickly, provided the parts are in stock. I'm estimating about £700 for the...

Has anyone had their hotshoe repaired? Just wondering what the cost would be to do. Thanks.

Thank you. :) Yeah, the cost isn't too much of a concern, thankfully, I guess it's about which is the best route. From what i see, I'm not gaining a huge amount from the mk2 as I don't shoot video.
