Yup, the symbol for infinity is like a number 8 on its side. Personally I'd use live view and zoom in to set the focus if there's enough light from the stars :D

Hi :D Welcome to the forums, I'm pretty new myself but I've picked up a fair bit of info and they're a really friendly bunch.

There's a free app for iPhone users called "Long time exposure" Pretty simple to use, you enter your exposure time without any filters and select the strength of filter you want to use :D
