    D500

I've only used 32GB SD cards so far, which can be pain at race meetings shooting in RAW - with only the one slot, especially after having used a D750 for a number of years. I may try an XQD soon as it's close to Christmas.

Yes it was after the finish, took me by surprise ! I dialled in the single point to the PV button , I never really use that option though. I did love the positioning of the iso button, very easy to adjust when if differing light.

Thanks, the lighting was spot on around that corner, it was tricky balancing on my little step trying to peep above the criss cross fencing !

@Craig_85 Thank you for those tips ! Your AF set up sounds very bespoke for your needs and shows that the options available are great. I did use the camera over both days of the weekend, Saturday at Brands Hatch and Sunday covering a Karting even locally. I had AF-C d25 on the back button and...

Extended highlights, I never knew that . I am looking forward to exploring the menus at the weekend, I haven't had the chance yet.

    D500

I had an hour or so yesterday afternoon before work to try the D500 out. I visited our local pond first finding the light quite harsh on the gulls and Cygnets, I was pleased to find that I could recover some of the blown highlights in Lr during pp.. I then called into the local airfield, where...

    D500

My D500 arrived yesterday afternoon about an hour before I set off into work for the night, so I only had a quick play before I had to put it back in it's box. First impressions were good, as I shot through a couple of windows at some garden birds and a couple of light aircraft, which land on a...

70 buffer shot is pretty impressive ! I did see one of those review videos last night and I'll probably watch most of them over the coming days. Over the years I have found myself next to Canon shooters at circuits and Airshows that machine gun away like crazy, I just cringe at the thought of...

    D500

Scary isn't it, I think I paid around the same for my D750 back in Jan 2015 from Panamoz. I did ask if they could match E-Infinity's even lower price of £995, they couldn't but did drop it £30, which was good I thought. I think I will stick with my regular SD cards for now and see how things go...

    D500

Yes will do, they said 4-5 business days, so I will be very pleased it if arrives in time for the weekend. I have an event the following weekend to give it a good try out, I'd best order up a spare battery too.

    D500

I've owned a D750 since the beginning of 2015 and can't fault it apart from losing the silly eye cap early on. I was thinking selling, saving for a D850 next but have talked myself out of it and have just ordered a D500 from Panamoz instead . I shoot local karting meetings each month, which...

    Sigma 150-600mm contemporary

Tried mine out at Le Mans a couple of weeks ago, although unfortunately didn't try it out until the Sunday afternoon during the closing hour or two of the race, as I had been using my Nikon lenses prior to that. The Sigma held up well when panning though, I thought. Perserverance pays off. by...
