Do you know what size printer do you want? Is it A4 or something bigger?
I'm using Epson R285 (A4) and I'm very happy with results. At work we are using Epson Stylus pro 3800 for up to A2 and I like this one the most, Epson 7800 and 7900 for 24" rolls and 9880 for 44" rolls.
Bigger the printer...
You can try alluminium bars from www.you-frame.com
The website is a bit confusing, but call or email them and they will help. Maximum bar size is 60 inches.
Hi,
all I know is that with RIP software you can override printer drivers, so you are not limited by them. Also you get more precised calibration.
What did you use to calibrate your printer? I used I1 Pro and was very pleased with results.
It looks like this is normal print with alluminium backing only:
It got nothing to do with image beeing printed on to alluminium directly I'm affraid.
In this case your image will look like a normal print.
Hope that helped

Hi,
I did one book myself. That was A6 size test, but effect was quite good. I printed that on to A5 photo paper, folded in half and bonded backs toogether. Cover was made from hot laminated printed canvas bonded on small metal plates( I couldn't find backing paper :( )
It's all depend on picture you printing. I agree, not all pictures look great on metal. But some look stunning. We had few images printed, **** didn't work, that's normal. The same on acrylic, canvas, matt, gloss paper - not every image will look amazing.
Hi all,
I got an email from You-frame yesterday with a discount code on it that you may want to use in future YFBETATEST50 gives you 50% off, not sure how long it is valid until but I will buy few for myself. I really like it.
