Thats good advice :)

Make sure the soft boxes are around 45deg to your subject and, slightly higher then your subject, this will make the shadow longer and out of the frame. Not sure what the others are talking about. Over complex for what you want to know I think.

Hi Nikki I am from Narwich also, welcome to the forum

I am a 400D owner also, and have no intentions of getting rid of the body yet, I am building a lens collection first, it does make a huge difference. The iso at 1600 is terrible with this body, but right now I am sticking with it.
