Avoid. Placed an order last year, despite being told the good were in stock I waited 9 days before cancelling my order (supposed to be next day delivery).

I've no experience of a D700 but I had a s5pro and it was fab. It's the only camera I've used that produced superb jpeg shots with v little processing. Skin tones in particular were always spot on. Gets a thumbs up from me :)

I've just done exactly what you are pondering. I wanted to get a FF camera and for me a 2nd hand 5d Mk1 offered the cheapest route by far. It really is a superb camera and for £800ish 2nd hand a bit of a bargain I feel. Yes its a bit of a hassle selling and re-buying lenses but I don't think...
