My A65 arrived this morning. My wife has put the battery on charge ready for when i get home. All seems to have gone smoothly

I've just picked up an Tamron 18-250 lens from eBay. Happy with the lens. All appears to work well and managed to get some pretty good snaps. However, there is one annoying issue. It doesn't appear to effect performance but is still annoying. It happens when the lens is searching for focus...

Yeah. Photoshop has a free basic editor. A highly rated one is camera+ it's only 69p and you can get some decent results with little effort. what it can do is limited but its decent for a mobile device!

Just picked up a tamarom 18-250 from evilbay for £175. seems like a good deal. Will let you have my thoughts when it arrives. Thanks for the advice guys

Thanks Guys thats helpful. Now, do i go for a used 18-250 or a new 18-270? I suspect i'll be looking on evilbay for a used 18-250.

What specifically didn't you like about the tamaron?

Thanks for that. I think with the sony aplha the image stabilisation is in the body of the samera, not the lens? I need to try and persuade my wife to let me buy the new 18-270!

Yeah, that is what i'm worried about. However, it's a balance between convenience and quality. Given my subject, my 2 year old daughter who can't stay still from more than 2 secs, in the past i've missed good shots because i've not been able swap lenses fast enough. A single wide ranging lens...
