Need to record wedding ceremony and speeches - camera recommendations, please

You could have a look at a bridge camera such as the panasonic fz2000, it records 4k, and has a great lens, with ibis and a mic input and headphone jack. More importantly it won't overheat when recording. If you want even better quality the panasonuc S5iix will record 4k prores HQ straight to...

Are prime lens worth the money these days?

For me personally, the faster aperture is the main reason for using primes. For portraits and video interviews, (my main use cases) there's no zoom that can give you the separation of an ultra fast prime. You don't have to spend silly money. For seated video interviews, I picked up a...

    Cheap Mirrorless Camera

A panasonic G7 might be worth considering. They are great value on the second hand market, and you could certainly pick one up with a decent lens within your budget. Also have a look at the other models in the panasonic range, such as: Gh4 Gh5 Fz1000

    Trigger for Ninja V

It should be triggered to record by your camera, a signal from the camera to the ninja v over hdmi starts the ninja recording when you press record on the camera. Make sure the camera and the ninja have the latest firmware. You may need to select "remote trigger" in the cameras menu.

    R6 video light ?

Without knowing your budget or output requirements it's difficult to recommend anything specific, but after filming for 40 years, the one I use mostly for on camera situations is the Vibesta peragos Disk 304P It can run for ages off a common NPF battery or AA batteries, it has a variable...

    Hero 10 worth the upgrade?

Yes definitely worth upgrading, but imo, the hero 7 black is the best value for money if your looking for a second hand one. The hero 11 is due to be announced in September, so I'd wait to see what it offers, and what it does to the price of the 10.

Rode Wireless Go vs Go 2?

The go2 also has internal recording in the transmitters, which can be great as a back up if you experience interference or drop outs between the transmitters and the receiver. However, I found the transmitters to be far too big to use without adding lav mics, so I purchased the picogear...

    Grays Of Westminster - jokers?

I don't know if my flabber would be gasted, but I'd be pretty miffed if I'd got that quote for kit like that. At least you know where it won't end up.

Beginner Blackmagic options for starter to film stuff?

Blackmagic cameras are capable of great results, but are quite demanding for newcomers to use. They have no AF (or single point AF) and are best used In fully manual mode. For beginners I'd suggest a second hand panasonic gh5. Or if that's too expensive, look at the excellent panasonic...

Best Bang for Buck - Full Frame Video Conferencing

The S5 is a great camera, but it's achilles heal is its micro hdmi port, if your using a camera for video conferences, you really don't want to be trusting a micro hdmi output port.

Best Bang for Buck - Full Frame Video Conferencing

You can pick up a second hand panasonic s1 for around £1200 from e-bay, I don't know of a better full frame mirrorless camera for the money. The sony A7r3 is another excellent camera in your budget.
