    D300 Auto ISO

Yeah auto ISO is great. Don't use it for floodlit matches though, much better to go manual unless the light is extremely uneven, but even then I wouldn't. For those only having the option of using it with a slow shutter speed, it might be a good idea to check you're using the latest firmware...

What sports are YOU shooting this weekend?

Nice one. I loved shooting the Super 15 match at Twickenham a couple of seasons back, fantastic rugby, wish they'd bring another match up here sometime

    Much improved Lightroom workflow

Tried the auto copy app at the weekend. My life is now complete, it's that good. Huge time saver, thanks again for the heads up Andy

Great stuff Andy. I've also been waiting for a way to only copy locked images, this sounds great will give it a go now.

    Rugby compared to Football

On top of the great suggestions already put forward, you can get a wide variety of shots from rugby union so look out for front row or flanker shots at scrum time, lineout action, players trapped at the bottom of a ruck placing the ball back. Don't chase the game but do change your viewpoint...

    Saracens v Clermont

Most, if not all, clubs choose to be lax about it

    Saracens v Clermont

Most premiership clubs are pretty relaxed about it and will happily let you take photos, as long as you don't bring a 300 2.8 into the stands!

Anyone used a tilt shift for sports?

Cheers guys, didn't rent one in the end, thought I'd practise my panning instead with very mixed results! Should have gone for more side on shots of the riders going straight, rather than turning I think. Also wish I had something wider than a 24mm, stupidly thought that would be good enough...

    Sending pictures

Don't see the problem with just sending them in one email? 7 mb won't exactly make a dent in the recipient's inbox

World Press Photo 2012: Sports Category

As much as I love Sportsfile's work, there's not much technique to the rugby one. The photo was created by circumstance rather than anything the photographer did. It's obviously a very nice shot, as an image it's strong, but worthy of 1st place?

Anyone used a tilt shift for sports?

It's probably gotten a bit cliched and overused now but I'll be at the Olympic Velodrome tomorrow and Sunday for some Track Cycling and thought it might be worth experimenting with. Has anyone tried one before, are they fairly simple to get to grips with or is there a lot of trial and error...
