I bought an XT20 from Jessops yesterday with the 16-50 lens. Had a very quick play with it but am very happy with it so far. I didn't get any accessories but really want a thumb rest, case and filter for the lens. Any recommendations? I had a D90 previously and very nearly bought a D7200 but...
Hi everyone, I was hoping for some equipment advice. The stores department at my company need to take pictures of very intricate and small parts (machined to a very high standard) so when any defects come in from suppliers, we can document it and email suppliers with the pictures of the...
No im not using any import presets as far as I am aware. Also should mention Ive had LR3 for a while but have only started to figure out how to use it.
How can I find out if I have the automatically correct or import button ticked?
As above, when I import my photos from my camera to LR3 and go to view them, it comes up with a loading sign and then the saturations, colours etc noticeably change. I took a load of photos at the RIAT last week and when I view them, LR3 is changing the very blue sky to a sky with a slightly...
Just to echo other comments, the 18-105 is a great lens, and very forgiving to the newcomer with the VR at the long end. I coupled my 18-105 with a 70-300 VR, which is my favourite lens.
As long as its in the condition its described as and priced according to that condition, Im usually pretty happy. Ive never been too fussed about the boxes as I dont see them adding any value, but as long as all the associated parts that were in the box are present then its a done deal.

Placed an order on a 15" MBP with the 500gb HDD and the anti glare hi res screen. Now I just have to wait till the 29th April to get it :(
Ive currently got a copy of LR3 on my old laptop. Does anyone know if its easy enough just to uninstall it from my old laptop and reinstall it on my new...
Im using IE9. Ive always used IE. Briefly dabbled with Firefox but it was a massive resource hog so Im sticking with what I know. Ive found IE9 is pretty damn fast too compared to the IE of old.
I used a D7000 today. Its a fantastic camera. I significant improvement over the D90, which is also an excellent camera. Low light shooting is a big step up from the D90. I was dead set on getting a 7D a year ago, but decided on my D90 instead because it was a lot cheaper and the spec was well...
My 10-20 is great when theres lots of natural light around, very sharp. I havent taken many low light pictures with it so cant compare. Im happy with its performance overall though.
