Great venue to hone your reflexes and skills. The water and kayaks are so unpredictable. You'll only take a few keepers away from each visit but they're worth it. I shot this a few years ago now. (ISO 100, 2000 sec @ F4 on a Canon 1D MkIII with Canon 300mm f/2.8)

I've used a Fuji X-Pro 1 with serveral lenses since its release and sold the remainder of my Canon gear just before Christmas (including a EOS1 MkIII and 24-70 f/2.8, 70-200 f/2.8 and 300 f/2.8 lenses) I purchased a XT-2 with a few more lenses and I could not be happier as a sport/action shooter.

I'm finding the XT-2 to be far better than I thought it would be for action: This is iso 4000, 500th sec @ f2 i think

Looks like I'll be renewing my Adobe subscriptiion beyond 2018 then... :)

It does look a great bit of software and I'm sure they'll sort it Toni. I'll probably take another look when my Adobe CC subrciption is due for renewal in 12 months time.

I made a big decision in December last year to sell my remaining Canon gear. I've used Canon for too many years to mention (AE-1) but the weight and the need to replace my ageing (still working) 1D MkIII made the decision for me. I've had a Fuji X-Pro1 with a few lenses for several years now...

So pleased I sold my EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM before christmas!

ON1 also looks truely awful on 4k screens. The text overlaps and disappears above and below other areas. 4k resolution screens are becoming increasing popular and my new Dell XPs 15 laptop has one. In the end I've bit the bullet and gone the Photoshop CC route.

I agree with whitey. Practice, practice, practice. You 'll find once you're free from the "I can zoom-in and zoom-out" mentality that you'll start to focus more on the composition of your subject. The hardest part to deal with is when the action gets too close but you'll soon learn to deal with...
