    Beginner Carabosse

Hello all. I'm going to shoot a fire show this evening and could really use some advice on settings. I'm thinking my 50 mm wide open at 1.4 and high ISO. I Don't reall want to drop below 1/60th either I guess?

    Flummoxed...

That would make sense. Thanks guys. It had to be something simple. Much obliged.

    Flummoxed...

Ha, most amusing :) The lights were mere feet from the subject so not far at all. The only thing that I did any different here was due to me forgetting my PW's, I was relying on the slave function of the lights and using a speed light as a master. That said, I can't see that it would have had...

    Flummoxed...

I was doing a shoot (unsuccessfully) this evening with my GF on her balcony with my Elinchrom rig - a beauty dish as key light and a white brolly as a fill light and no matter what I did the images were still really dark. At one point I was shooting at 2.8 1/50 and ISO 800 with both lights...

    PW's to Elinchrom Heads

Hello all, Forgive my stupidity please but how do I go about connecting my PW Flex TT5's to my Elinchrom heads? Thanks very much.

    BOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!

That's the sort of thing yeah but at nearly £200 it's still a lot of money for what is essentially a pole.

    BOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!

Ahem, sorry. I'm after a boom for my Elinchrom Style 400 BX lights and was after some recommendations. I have seen the Elinchrom Polystand but that's a bit beyond my budget. Surely there must be something that I can attach to my existing stands rather than have to fork out for a whole...

    Home Setup...

    Anyone?

    Image Stacking.

Again, that's not quite what what I'm looking for. The process was fully automated and I'm sure all you had to do was load the images into a stack and then in one of the menus there is a command called "average" and hey presto - no pedestrians.

    Image Stacking.

Thanks MM, that's not quite the thing I was looking for, I too have CS5 and the tutorial wasn't that complicated from what I recall but it totally eludes me.

    Image Stacking.

I remember reading a tutorial a while ago whereby several images of a busy street scene were stacked together and then rendered in such a way to eliminate all the pedestrians. I think there was a function/command called "average" used along the way but I can't for the life of me find the...

    Home Setup...

Evening all, I am thinking about buying a basic home studio setup and was looking for reccomendations. I'm sure I've seen kits advertised that comprise a couple of strobe heads, softboxes, stands and a backdrop and stand. Budget would be around the £500 mark. Thanks in advance.

    The D700 is dead,long live the D700

I bought one in April as an upgrade from my D5000 and I love it! If they're going cheap, it might be worth looking at getting another one as a backup like you said :)
