    Thanks for your replies :) The only message I'm getting is that there is 'No preview available' or that the files cannot be read (in Photoshop, etc) for any of the formats despite the files having their full size. EASEUS was bought with the hope of it working and in so far as all other files...

    Thanks all. The images recovered were a mix between CR2's, jpeg's and gif's all of which are suffering form the same problem. I'll try posting in the computers section too.

    Thanks for the reply. The drive was attached via usb (technically slaved) and didn't need any admin passwords. All other files and folders are working normally except for my photography work.
