101 ways to ruin a roll of film

Finding a roll of film I intended to develop 52 years ago but 'forgot' about it. There's still hope :p

    Airband Scanner

I've got an Alinco DJ-X2000, had it a few years and it covers everything I need, plus a lot of stuff I shouldn't be listening too. I started off with a cheap scanner that was complete rubbish, start off with a decent scanner and you'll use it more often. As for frequencies to listen too, plenty...

Am I being a Victor Meldrew?

One of the criteria when buying a house should be to ensure there is sufficient off road parking for the number of vehicles in (or likely to be in) the household. Last year I was viewing houses in a new area, if there was insufficient parking space stated on the Estate Agents details I didn't...

    What snacks for kids?

My 42 year old son enjoys 3 or 4 pints of Fosters from time to time, I though he might grow out of it. He hasn't yet but might when he's grown up :D

(RE)Learning to ride a motorbike again

I bought a secondhand motorcycle when I was 16, it was a BSA C11 250cc. At the time most learners started with a 250cc, anything less and you would have had the proverbial taken. Cost £5.19s 6d, I had to buy it on hire purchase over a year. I rode it home from the dealer in 1st gear, I didn't...

    Tipping

I would never pay for a 'service charge' on a restaurant bill, but I would tip if the service was excellent. I generally put a review on Trip Advisor and praise where praise is due, most establishments are aware of Trip Advisor and the affects it can have on a business (both positive and negative).

    Dull as ......

Could 'Dull as ditchwater' water be a grade lower, or a grade higher than 'watching paint dry'? I recently painted my kitchen and quite enjoyed watching the paint dry :D

Beginner I think I prefer JPG to Raw..Please dont kill me!

As one that's only gone digital in the last couple of years (the last 50+ years I've been shooting/processing/printing film) I can see that the jpg vs raw debate will go on into infinity (no pun intended :D). For me as a film photographer, I've enjoyed the processing of the film just as...

    Any runners on here?

I have a degenerative spinal condition diagnosed around 30 years ago, I'm ok to walk (up to a mile on a good day) but to run would be just too painful. Being in my mid 60's it's probably not a good idea to start running

A p*** was living next door to me - convicted

Carl, I don't know the ages of your children but by the time this guy comes out they'll be that much older and wiser. No consolation I know, but you can't go through the next few years worrying about it. When/if the guy ever comes home just ignore him, you have a life of your own, don't let this...

    Washing Your Car!

I don't really see the point in washing a car, it generally rains more than the sun shines so why waste the time? However I always keep the glass and lights clean, and keep the vehicle mechanically A1.
