    Editing recommendation...?

Because iMovie is preloaded on Mac and is relatively intuative and is capable of far more than stiching files together. Adding music from iTunes, or stills from Photos is very straight foward in a way that Resolve can never be.

    Free Editing Software

I've been using Avid Media Composer at work for years. I think in 1998 an Avid setup would cost around £98 000 but now it's Free! - astonishly good value. Requires a steep learning curve but no more so than Premier. http://www.avid.com/media-composer-first

Beginner Looking for my first DLSR

Another recommendation for the Nikon D3300. Got mine over two years ago and I still love it to bits. In fact of all my possessions, I recon this was my best buy. The menu structure, image quality, handling are all excellent. I can't see myself wanting to upgrade for years.

    Editing My NYC Footage

I don't get why you are keeping shots you don't want on the timeline at all, it doesnt look like you've seperated the audio out into want/dont want.

London showreel - My new timelapse film

Stunning by any standards. Great use of music cues. I've used After FX for 3 years, how the hell did you create that smoke?

    My First Showreel

Talking heads without dialogue looks like a mistake - I would leave them out.

    My First Showreel

Is that the final audio track? lots of talking heads and no dialogue.

    Latest project

I liked the choppy start - It gave the piece identity and a sense of individual style. Loads and loads of work from script to locations to acting to camera work, all brilliant. However, as cross-platform web sitcom I don’t think it will succeed, as a showreel for your many talents it will.

    D7000 videos

The 7000 shot at 24 fps rather than 25fps - combining footage from a standard UK source would mean converting it, which unless done in decent software means jerky movement. The fact that the 7100 can shoot at higher frame rates means that it can read the information from the sensor more quickly...

    Nikon D3000

I do this too, but the dynamic range still seems poor, granted shooting in RAW solves almost everything

    Nikon D3000

I had a D60 and now have a D3100. I found that both often over exposed on scenes that my basic compact would have no problems with. Counter intuitively, under exposure is less of a problem at higher ISO settings. The basic message is, don't stick it on 100 ISO and assume that you are getting...

FCPX users - how do you organise?...

I just don't get FCPX why does it use valuable screen space showing you all the media on your system when all you need is the media associated with the current job? Apple have re invented not only the time line but also file media management. Event folders??? I wish they hadn't bothered with...

    Making Videos

Please give us a link to your rubbish quality footage from the D3100, D3200 and the D5100. I'm really pleased with the footage from my D3100 and the others can only be better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXudJ5t_cm0&hd=1 Generally an SLR will give better picture quality than a camcorder of...
