    Some questions about Twitter

Twitter has it's uses beyond what someone has had for their breakfast. I've found it useful keeping up-to-date with certain people/events/products and the more obvious 'celebrity stalking' aspect. What it's particularly useful for is the 'zeitgeist-y' happenings and popular...

How many recipients can I send an email to?

That should all be fine. Depends on your ISP and the recipient's though. Do it in batches (~10 per time) if you're unsure.

    Bartering with Jessops, any luck?

My local branch said that they didn't do price matching with Amazon and they also no longer had a deal in place to supply Panasonic products (I was shopping around for a GF1 at the time). I used to live in Worcester where they price matched with Amazon on a Canon IXUS 40 and knocked about £50...

    Windows Laptop v Mac...

I have one of the 'unibody' MacBook Pros, best build quality of any laptop I've ever seen (a little on the weighty side though.)

Website feedback (not my usual site)

For the front page, if the options on the left were spread across with the introduction text below might balance the layout a little more. I'd look at putting more of a logo (even if it is just text) instead of the in-browser text in there too. Nice layout/look and image presentation in the...

Best and cheapest place to buy CF cards

I like MemoryBits, mostly due to them throwing voucher codes at you after each order and the like. I've bought several SDHC cards from them via PayPal and they're quite quick on the delivery front.

Formatting Mac HDD to use for MAC and PC, what file system?

FAT32 is the most convenient formatting, there are ways of reading/writing to NTFS but it's a bit of a faff and probably not worth it unless the size of the drive is affected by the formatting.

    mbp questions

Can't speak for Windows 7, but I know Snow Leopard is pretty bloody good on any recent Mac.

    mbp questions

According to a quick search the T8300 is a 2.4 Ghz processor, but given that you'd be giving it more RAM and you'd be running Snow Leopard as the OS, I'd say you'd be OK.

    mbp questions

I'd look at what you really need and put money into that. If you want the 17", with or without matte screen it's amazing. Do the RAM yourself (I did this via Crucial.) RAM would be money better spent than the processor (in my opinion.) If you go for the 15", go for the 2.66 model (assuming...

Picked up my new camera today....a GF1

Indoors is no trouble whatsoever, it's got an excellent resolution screen. I went out and about yesterday (no EVF, too pricey at the moment). It was very sunny, and a little too bright to make out the screen on a couple of occasions, but I wouldn't say it's completely unusable.

Picked up my new camera today....a GF1

There is something about the GF1 versus the Olympus range. Not sure what, but the GF1 seems like a 'future classic', I hope I'm not proven wrong by saying that, but it has a feel of something special.

Design a backup system - HOW

They're expensive as hell, but a Drobo would probably be a good choice (they look the business too.) http://www.drobo.com/

    Mac - Automator

I use it mostly for batch-renaming files and mounting network shares automatically, but it is very, very powerful. I know it can do some impressive things work-flow wise.
