using photos as a reference for fine art

hey! i was just wondering what you think about people using your photos as a reference for image studies etc for art projects? If someone took your photo and copied it out using say.. graphite pencils, would it still be infringing copyright? I'm not too sure how to view this myself.. any...

    5d!

i'll most likely use it for travel/street/food photography so that sounds about right. Yeah I heard news about a 5DMKII as well which was why I'm wondering if I should just wait. Or would it be silly to buy a 400d/40d in its place?

Hey everyone! Was looking into buying a 5D from singapore when i return home in december. got my dad to check the prices for me (he can get it cheaper from his friend apparently) but his friend said that there were problems with the 5D and it's not recommended? I found this a little...

    Cameras and the cold...

I'll be heading to Sweden/Denmark over december (yes, pretty suicidal I know) so to clarify, all i need is a 12V hairdryer to keep my lens from dewing? is there any other way? I guess for me spare batteries are out as I only have one and am running on a student budget so I won't be able to...

    Amsterdam

rent a bike and cycle to the countryside if you're sick of the city. the windmills are charming. (don't forget to try the pancakes! there's a lovely cafe near the anne frank museum - which is also a must see!)

    grainy photos d70

thanks for the help. i'll have to check my ISO settings on the camera. it's really weird you can't see the picture though. is there anyone else who can't see it? (i can!) here are a few more just to see if the bb code works: can grain be attributed to anything else other than ISO?

    grainy photos d70

hellooo i'm new here and i recently inherited a d70 from my dad. took a few photos while on holiday in malta and most of them came out exceedingly grainy. here's an example, shot by a friend on auto mode: surely if i were using manual, i would accredit it to something i'm doing wrong, but...
