any tips for taking pics of clouds?

watch the light. you can have the best clouds ever, but if the light is hitting them at the wrong angle you'll end up with flat, lifeless crap. these two shots were taken a day apart (similar skies and conditions on both days) within a few miles of each other. in the first the sun is nearly...

    Photoshop Borders

i once made an action that used percentages to drop a watermark in place. this way the bottom right corner of the watermark was always dropped 10% in from the bottom right corner no matter what size the image was. it's been awhile but i believe i had to se the rulers to % rather than pixels to...

    Widescreen Curved monitors

at work we use 6 monitors per workstation. we used to have 1 large (flat) 72" screen and it looked really sweet. but once the screen went bad you lost an entire workstation until the screen could be replaced. now with 6 smaller screens just one monitor has to be replaced and the dispatcher...

Beginner Recommendations for low light pictures, tripod, ISO, long exposure...

you can also look at some noise reducing software like topaz denoise for your higher iso shots. and depending on where you plan on using the photos (for example if you're only posting web size images to fb) the noise may not matter much.
