The Official TP Funnies thread ( Jokes Memes etc )

Apologies for the F bomb but IMO, it's the only thing that works!

    Nikon FX lens options

Silly/fun wide, you have the Sigma 12-24... Not small or light but as wide as me (without any significant rectilineal distortion, although the perspective [a matter of physics] can be quite extreme!!!)

    WAMT....what annoyed me today!

The gulls are doing what the kites used to do before persecution wiped them out! Hopefully, the kites will reclaim their territory and oust the inland gulls. Seen a few down here over the years but I haven't seen one here since lockdown, when we saw a pair less than 1/4 mile up the hill.

Waterproof = windproof too so that's what got worn earlier in the year but now it's warm enough for thermals under Kevlar jeans. Heated grips are still a boon though!

    Is anyone into "building" watches?

Found it and clicked through to get to his website. https://jellylabwatches.com/

Want to get back in the game, compact FF?

When you say that the AF isn't great, do you mean that it misses focus or is a bit slow/hunty? Even the slowest AF lens I've had (an old Nikkor 180 screw driven one) was faster than me trying to MF!

There's a chap in (I think) the States who mods Casios. Started as one-offs but has done a fait few batches for weddings, advertising etc. too. Next time I come across of of his u-choob shorts, I'll try to remember to post a link.

    Topsy's Dartmoor Rambles

Yes. The closure is for the council to finally repair the road where the traffic lights have been for a few years. I know what you mean about it not being ideal in a Landy, especially on off roadish tyres!!! We stick to smaller roads rather than the A38 because the smaller option is far nicer...

PHEW! Slight irony being that the solution was almost my starter but I went for something else!

    Topsy's Dartmoor Rambles

Fogginquarry... With the Moretonhampstead road being closed at the moment, we haven't made it up to the Moor recently. IIRC, the works are SUPPOSED to be finished by the end of April so we're hoping to return soonish. Of course, we could go the other way but our preferred route is Newton Abbot...

    Print size

As with all things, it depends on many factors. A GOOD, high resolution scan of a GOOD neg or slide will look as good or better but less good sources probably won't. Monitors can also vary hugely in size, resolution and colour rendition.

    Print size

35mm negs will print reasonably well up to A4 and well scanned slides will go up to A3 (best viewed at around 6' rather than arm's length!) Files lifted from screen shots would need the permission of the poster before printing - even better, ask the poster for a price for the full size file or...
