Hi Jimmy, not too sure why you moved the post I put up regarding Dreameruk? Lea posts some stunning bird images and I thought it would be nice to let other "bird" photographers know that he has had some of his "bird" images published in a magazine. I could of course take a shot of his 2 page...
or perhaps you may "prefer to wait for the right time to get them in the right light rather than introduce false light"
or, if you know where the subject is going to be, place the flash closer to the spot and fire the flash remotely using the pop up flash on the camera......
Flash does have a place in wildlife photography, in my opinion.
I use it a lot, although I have never used it at night and mostly on reduced or GREATLY reduced power.

Probably set on full power for the badgers as you dont need to freeze movement. 1/16 power gives a VERY short flash duration possible in the region of 1/10000-1/12000 of a second, and will only cover a very short distance.
