    Canary Wharf - Nightshoot

I haven't shot from Rotherhithe area yet, but you can get a good view of the skyline from the area around the Hilton. I've taken shots from Millwall Inner Dock close to the Lotus floating restaurant https://flic.kr/p/zRkH7Z great reflections on a still evening. The east side of South Dock is...

Use my X10 around Tower Bridge a few weeks ago, it was freezing and didn't have time to mess about with bracketing, so I just set it to Night (tripod). Quite pleased with the detail captured, especially as there is quite a high contrast. Tower Bridge by nigelwilliams2001, on Flickr Tower...

Yes, thought that might be the case. I'll get her to check receipt, it came from Curry's/PC World I think, so just over a year old. Best to contact Fuji directly?

I recommended the XF1 to a friend, she now says all the pictures are coming out over exposed. I've checked the settings, exposure bias is at zero, looks OK on screen when you view scene, but picture is definitely over exposed. I've just tried doing a reset, but problem is still there. Any...

Any thoughts on the X-M1 as an upgrade on the X10? I see Fuji are offering the 50-200mm zoom if you buy one over the next few weeks.

Did a tour of Parliament this week, shame that you're not allowed to take pictures as it's such a beautiful building. I was able to take some quickly at the end in St Stephen's Chapel, part of the Palace of Westminster and adjoining the central lobby. Had to use a mini tripod on the base of some...

There are definitely advantages to both as you say, but I'd expect to be taking group shots mostly so having the wider and brighter lens would be a benefit. With the lens collapsed, you can put the XF1 in a pocket also.

I'd go with the XF1, the extra stop from the f1.8 and more compact design would be better in a dark club.

I have a Canon 550D, but also and X10 for when I want something more portable. It also has other advantages like silent operation and is great for taking sunset shots. From the Royal Observatory, Greenwich this week: Greenwich Sunset by nigelwilliams2001, on Flickr
