Ok the extended warranty is actually what Im looking for. Just got a price from Dom & General ( thanks peach ) and they quoted £139 for 4 years starting from the end of the man.warranty which seems expensive. I thought there may have been a stipulation to take out insurance/warranty extension...

No public liability. I just rang Photoguard and they said their insurance covers theft/accidental damage but not repairs should a camera fault occur.Is this normal?

Ok I dont think I explained myself correctly. Take an old 35-70mm lens for a 35mm Camera and a 18-55mm for digital. If I zoom right in with the digital lens,will I see the same picture through the viewfinder as I would setting the 35mm Camera lens to 35mm and the same setting it to 55mm and 70mm?

Best company to go with? Also is it best to take it out when buying the camera or can you do it when your man.warranty runs out?

Rang Jessops just to check they had plenty of Canon 500Ds in stock otherwise if they were low on stock would have gone there after work to get one instead of tommorow. They only had one in stock and that was the display model ! Pathetic.

Jessops will basically match the price of any shop thats advertising on the net even if that particular shop or a branch isnt near your town. Rang a few places this afternoon to try and con a shop into faxing me a quote of lower than £569 for the Canon so I can take it to jessops tommorow but...

Yeah exactly and it all adds up. Also to include is camera insurance.
