I have a sigma 24-105 art on my D810 so not apples to apples but, it is by far my most used lens. My walkabout lens so to speak. However, I don't see why you would need it unless you sell all your other lenses, you're completely covered in that focal range. I dunno ?

Finally got around to trying this, and it works just dandy..Flash in TTL and trigger in manual the power can indeed be changed by the Xpro. The flash itself stills reads TTL and doesn't reflect any changes but that doesn't matter at all. With the trigger in ttl then a tcm conversion the manual...

Yes, I use an X1R N attached to my sb910. Strangely enough I have to set the flash to ‘master’ and then I can change the power settings on the flash from the xpro trigger. Doesn’t seem to work any other way. Of course I could be doing it wrong lol

im not sure if you've actually put down the money yet, but for what it's worth I have the Nikkor 85 1.8 g and its a superb lens. Not just "for the money" but for any money. The only thing i wouldn't use it for is fast action like sports, as it's a bit slow to lock focus. Another lens to look at...
