Good Way to Carry Small Camera and Lens?

Maybe their port of call was the Palace - Buck'nam.

Good Way to Carry Small Camera and Lens?

If you can't decide on a lens then there's always a way.

    Post processing preferences?

Oh, well if wwe're speaking infra-red then we may as well throw in some Aerochrome III and some space lasers. Of course filers can be used to reveal dramatic cloud formations or to highlight them, but they don't create them.

    Post processing preferences?

A filter doesn't provide drama. I'm not speaking of graduated filters, something I wouldn't use. I'm simply speaking of the right filter to provide more definition in the sky. Filters for this purpose are more in the line of corrective measures than enhancements. The failure of many monochrome...

    Post processing preferences?

Why would you need to wat until post-processing? If you want clouds and/or a dramatic sky then the time is when you're taking the photo. A yellow or orange filter can make clouds pop.

    Hazard a guess.

I'd hesitate to guess, but one thing that I'd tentatively suggest is that the proportion of film photographers who develop at home is probably greater than it was in the heyday of analogue. Development was speedy and generally reliably good back in the day. Nowadays it is such a significant part...

    Happy New Year Everyone

I dunno. This year at midnight I found myself spiralling in a very dark place need. All I was conscious of were the negatives looming in my life. Daguerres everywhere pointing at me. Have a great 2026, all!

Exactly What has gone wrong here

It does, and I have a prism too, but I guess I screwed up.

Exactly What has gone wrong here

O Ah, the focus mistake is all on me. I was using a Mamiya 645CM.

Exactly What has gone wrong here

Yup. I should have been way more specific in terms of focus. That trunk is like a candle with the wax sttling along the sides and should ave been the centrepiece to a much greater extent. I should have been using colour too. Those leaves in the foreground are mush - but a splash of colour might...

Exactly What has gone wrong here

I was similarly unhappy with a recent shot. This is a pretty savage crop in order to get it uploaded. Ilford 5+ MF, 80mm lens.

    auntiemaryscanarys new darkroom

Who needs agitation when you have the Maestoso from Saint-Saen's organ symphony playing at full blast?

    auntiemaryscanarys new darkroom

Yup. It has been treated extensively for damp and is currently going through another phase of dehumidification. It's now pretty good but requires on-going maintenance. That's why I'm leaving it intil next year before seting it up. I have the enlarger down there at the moment. It's on a table and...

    First time Restoring Cameras

A great find that I had last year when cleaning up a Rolleiflex TLR (not the real thing, but a very good quality knock-off) was this: behind the front plate on which the lenses were mounted there was a group of very thin shaped shims of differing thicknesses. It seems that the manufacturer had...
