You should use one shot focus in canon and use the dial at the back to change the focus points where ever you want to focus. If it is a bright day change the iso to 200 rather than 800.
You can use Af-S with the focus point in central and use the manual settings to get the correct exposure.Or you can aperture priority and appropriate ISO depending on the lighting.
I always go with amazon for any electronics as their customer service is the best.I have never had problems in the last 7years.I have returned many things without any problems.i also use Peter tyson for audio systems as they are very good.
Aperture F4 is fine depending on what ISO you used and what was the lighting like and how far were they. You mention that the family was not in focus. What do you mean by that.It is best if you mention all the settings form the info button of that particular photo.
Hi
You can get a canon 70-210 (3.5-4.5) old lens for £70 which is very good.I still have it and it is a good one and i plan to keep it for my film camera.Someone was trying to sell this in the classified section of this forum a month ago.It is a sharp lens for the price.
thanks
Do you want to do the course just for learning about photography and to take good photos or do you want to do it with a view to make a career. Why don't you enquire in your community college.? I did a course and doing one now in the community college and it is pretty good.
