Mine was bought in 1981 a Canon F-1 from Comet ,later that year I went on holiday to New York when the exchange rate was good and bought a 70-200mm F/4 lens, a 24mm F/2.8 lens the motordrive back for it and then went to Flushing Meadows to the US tennis open to try it all out.Happy days.

I have the D3s since 2011 and still use it regularily.

The exact same thing has happened to my Nikkor 24-70mm lens,bought new in the UK nearly seven years ago,need to replace the rubber as well,its my most used lens.

I want to purchase a 77mm circular polarizing filter for use in landscape photography here in South Africa,it needs to be good quality to be used in conjunction with my Nikon D3s, Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8 and Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8 lenses.It will probably have to be a slim profile for the wider end...

Thanks for your prompt reply Garry and honest advice,bearing in mind what you say about the poor colour rendition then this is not the way to go for any form of portraiture,I will stick with the conventional flash.Cheers, Neil.

I was in there over summer with my Nikon D3s and had no problems,I did however avoid photos in the watch area-to busy drooling!

Since my original post I've done some online research and two mounts that look suitable are the Zacuto Striker and the Redrock Eyespy Balance, does anyone have experience of either of these two systems?
