    London London Viewing areas

Horizon 22 certainly used to have tickets available at the venue on the day, that may still be the case. You still needed to book them online, but could do that from outside the building where a screen showed available slots.

    Off camera flash advice

I had another look at my photos and flashgun last night. I had the flash set up wrongly so although it was firing, as has been said on the thread, it was providing little illumination. I’m more familiar with it now so will see how I get on next time & will try bouncing as suggested. Thanks again.

    Off camera flash advice

Thanks everybody for your input, I've quite a bit to learn about this. My aim is to be able to produce nicely lit portraits of the little one as a baby & as he grows. I don't see myself becoming a 'serious' portrait photographer, but who knows, that might change. With that in mind, I had been...

    Off camera flash advice

Hi, I’m looking to try my hand at using off camera flash to photograph a new grandchild & would appreciate any thoughts you may have. I’ve got a Canon R5 ii and a Canon 580 ex ii flash. The flash has had little use, so I’m keen to use this if possible. It seems I could use radio triggers to...

    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

I’ve used the test drive a few times with a credit card deposit. It’s usually refunded back to card quite quickly from what I remember, so haven’t had to pay the bill.

The R1 is available on the Canon 48 hour test drive site George if you want to try it yourself.

    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

I recently bought the mark ii and can’t say I’ve noticed a significant difference in DR over the mark i. The af imo is definitely improved though, it seems to acquire focus very quickly and then it sticks to the subject better. Unfortunately I now need to upgrade my ageing iMac, as the software...

    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

I don’t have any experience of your combo but I used to have the same lens and regretted selling it. The results from it were very good and the size & weight made it easy to handle. I’ve also used EF glass on R bodies without any issues, I think you’ve every reason to be optimistic about the...

The new Battersea Powerstation complex - Anyone been?

I‘ve also been without any problems and used a tripod for some of the time I was there. I did see security about but was careful where I set it up and had no issues. It’s an interesting place and I’ll return sometime. Enjoy your visit.

    Advice on train light trails

As you haven’t tried this type of photography before I’d also suggest having a practice somewhere beforehand. The effects will vary in different situations but at least it will give you an idea with regard to settings and results. If it helps I took this shot recently and posted it elsewhere...

    Extended Canon Test Drive

I’m considering swapping my Canon 500mm F4 ii for the RF100-500, although I’m not sure I could give up my prime, so thought I would look at hiring the zoom to see what I thought. Pleasantly surprised that the test drive site that I’ve used before has extended days free of charge over the bank...
