Are the slabs standing upright on the floor. If so what colour floor is it?

One important factor which hasn't been mentioned is the lens. People seem to forget that 20mp sensor isn't as good coupled with a tiny pin prick of a lens on a phone as it is would be with an SLR lens or even more on a medium format lens on a camera such as a hasselblad.

Regarding studio work and twitching dogs, a little tip i picked up was feed them just before shoot, makes them dozy and less twitchy. It's worked a few times for me.

Yep, i keep the original as long as i can, especially things like reproducing oil paintings. You can spend ages colour correcting a painting to get it as near as possible on a 5 colour press only to find it easier to start from the original shot on a small digital press.

I use to, but crop how i feel now. Some briefs specifically ask the image to fit a certain area on a website of brochure but with portraiture I tend to go with what looks good and not the traditional sizes.
