've been looking at the Pentax K-x which gets an Essential Rating on Photography Blog which you don't see often. Only negative I can see is that it also doesn't have an autofocus indicator in the viewfinder - how important is this? I've also been looking at the upcoming Sony A390, though...

When I changed from a 5x zoom to a 10x zoom (Panasonic TZ1) I found the extra zoom a revelation. Most of our photos were printed as standard size prints or for the internet, not sure what the quality is like if printed bigger.

Don't like the sound of losing image quality but then I like not having to swap lenses! As a beginner maybe the loss of quality won't even be noticeable - so many decisions. At least I'm not looking to buy right now so I have plenty of time to decide. Thanks :)

Do you not find you have to change lens when you to take any landscape shots though? I'm really looking for a lens that I can take out to cover all bases as I don't want to have to take 2 lenses with me and keep changing them on everyday trips out.

I am now the owner of an A200 and though I haven't had the chance to have a proper play it feels like I made the right choice. One question - should I leave the lens attached or should I take it off after each session?

I phoned about 10 online stores last week looking for an A200 and though they said in stock, I couldn't find one in stock anywhere. I ended up getting a great deal on an almost new one in the classifieds part of a forum. It's my first dSLR and I only received it last night. First impressions...
