    Stacking Filters

So I simply buy a hoya circular polarizer and screw them together? Sorry, wasn't very specific, was meaning to ask more about the mechanics of it. My ND400 doesn't seem to have a filter on the front?

    Stacking Filters

Hi, I've recently just bought a Hoya 52mm ND 400, which is great and does the job perfectly, but I was thinking about pairing it with a circular polarizer as well to reduce the reflections in long exposure water shots... but... can you stack them? I hear about stacking filters, but I'm...

    D7000 + Lens

Thanks Wookee, I have an 18-200 on my Alpha at the moment and love the versatility, which one do you have for the D7000? I couldn't see a Nikon 18-200 anywhere?

    D7000 + Lens

Thanks very much for the advice guys, much appreciated. The 24-70mm looks like a great lens, and that range is about perfect, but it's just a little out of my price range at the moment. The 24-120 looks brilliant too, but those extra stops to F4 would make quite a bit of difference in low light...

    D7000 + Lens

Hi Everyone, I *think* I've finally decided to upgrade from my now pretty damn old Sony Alpha 300 and I was going to save for a D700, but upon reflection I don't think I really need one as I'm not a pro and the reviews for the D7000 seem very very good. So with the body decided upon I've...

What was your most embarrassing photography moment?

No one's yet mentioned the obligatory portrait shot and forgetting to take the lens cap off.. or is that just me? :)

That's quite cool, I've not heard of these before. I don't suppose you have a link handy do you? Are they expensive?

    Please Help!

With a longer lens comes more risk of camera shake, so mind the shutter speed if you're doing sports photography hand held. You don't need it, but a monopod might help, but obviously invest in the camera + lens first and foremost.

What lens for me next for my Sony A200?

The quality of the pictures from the 50mm are great, really sharp. What I was saying about the sensor size, is that, yes the lens is designed for the APS-C sensor, but because the sensor is smaller than a full frame (35mm) it effectively magnifies the image by a factor of 1.6 so the equivalent...

Welcome! You went from a D700 to a D7000? isn't that the wrong way round? :)

What lens for me next for my Sony A200?

I've also got the Sony f/1.8 50mm and it is a lovely lens, but remember that as your camera has an APS-C sensor it will be effectively about 75mm so it might not be that great for cars depending on the type of shots you're after. The bokeh on it is lovely though!
