    Lake District & Yorkshire Dales

Thanks for the help guys. We did Tarn Hows and Langdale today, but I found it hard to get a good composition. I'm beginning to feel like to get good shots in the Lakes you need to be up high. Doing Buttermere and Derwent Water tomorrow. Any tips greatly appreciated!

I was wondering if anyone would have any recommendations for great views in either of these areas which are easily accessible? Thanks, Stephen

    Printing woes

Thanks for the help everyone. It turns out that 5 of the nozzles are blocked. I have run the deep cleansing on the printer 5 times now and still no luck. I have also tried cleaning the print head in warm water (as a last resort), but still nothing. A new print head is about £100 and the inks...

Thanks Gerry. Do you mean disable colour management in printer settings? I'm not sure there is that option.

I should add that anytime I send prints to a website like DS ColourLab they are a fairly close match to what I have on screen.

Who is your favourite landscape photographer?

Mine has to be, without a doubt, Ian Cameron from Scotland. In an age of HDR and garish colours, he captures mother nature at her best. http://www.transientlight.co.uk/

Forum habits - multiple photos and critiquing the critique

I'm really enjoying this forum so far and it seems to be much more active than other forums which still exist out there. I have noticed that in the critique forums people tend to post multiple shots. I find this a bit off-putting as it is nice to see a single photograph and be able to focus my...

    Lightroom urgent help needed

I should say that Canon DPP is their RAW conversion software. Much better colours and tones than Lightroom but slower to operate.

    Lightroom urgent help needed

As a last resort, if you are shooting Canon install their free Digital Photo Professional software. It is brilliant and the colours always match what you see on camera. It also has a lens correction tool which makes even cheap lenses look brilliant!

    Lightroom urgent help needed

In the colour settings somewhere. You may also have imported the photos to Lightroom with some sort of weird setting relating to colour. Try importing again and double check all the settings.
