Can anyone recommend a reasonably-priced (i.e. non-Lee) 10-stop filter for the X Pro 1? I recently bought a Tiffen screw-in 10-stop for my 10-24mm lens and the results are hugely disappointing, a horrible red-orange colour cast which is irrecoverable in post. I don't expect a cheaper brand to be...
New X-Pro owner signing in - arrived this week after I finally decided to take the plunge and sell off the various Canon kit that I owned but was using less and less, and get something a little more compact.
I bought with the 35mm 1.4, with the 18mm to follow courtesy of the deal that Jessops...
Thanks for the comments :)
You're right about the central contact Hoppy - my good old Yongnuo 460 works quite happily on the camera, it's when I introduce the trigger that things go awry. Every time the AF locks it fires the trigger. I'll try taping over the rest of the pins on the bottom of...
I recently bought a Fuji X-Pro after deciding to downsize my kit and move away from my DSLR gear.
Much as I love the new camera I haven't been able to find a suitable flash trigger solution - previously I used my trusty old Yongnuo 602s to trigger a pair of Yongnuo speedlites but despite...
Taking my first trip there tomorrow. I usually stay fairly close to home and go to places like Mallory Park, but having seen some of the C & C threads from Cadwell on here I can't wait!
I'll avoid the obvious "where are the best spots" question - plenty of previous info on here for that, but...
I took part in one of Garry's training days a couple of months back - a great learning experience and I'd recommend to anyone that's interested in a practical hands-on day.
Bal - purely a personal view but I can't speak highly enough of the lighting courses that Garry hosts. I was there Sunday and for the price it was simply fantastic value. A great opportunity to play with a whole range of modifiers and lighting situations. Garry knows his stuff but the day was a...
And if anyone thought "maybe" and then didn't, get on the next one! Can't say enough about how much I got out of today's session - thanks Garry & Cassie.
Still got a slight head-spinning sensation after today - loads of knowledge imparted and I just need to crack on and put things into...
That seems like a cracking deal
I've only recently bought my first Lencarta kit (1 light Safari kit) so I'm sure more experienced users will be along in due course, but I've been absolutely delighted with the gear so far...
Absolutely - I bought a few things from Sean recently and took him up on the offer to visit him in person at his unit in Swadlincote. Really nice lad, couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.
I love my Tamrac Expedition 7 to bits - packed to bursting it weighs a ton but once you're carrying it the weight just seems to disappear, it really is comfortable. I'll admit I've never done more than day hikes with it but I would recommend it
