I had an Err 99 problem within a week of buying my 40D. It went to Canon, they could not find a fault and apparently just cleaned the sensor. It went on to take another 15,000 photos without a single hiccup.

Thanks Geoff I have a Dutch wife and half Dutch kids but am originally from Gloucestershire, UK. Its flatter over here with easier cycling but I miss the scenery of the UK.

Just a quick hello from the land of clogs, windmills and canals. I am a Canon shooter, currently with a 40D but have just placed an order for a 5DII. This looks like a great forum, a nice balance of Nikon and Canon shooters with not too many fanboys (at a glance!). That is all. :D
