Thanks for the input guys ,
Living in England I cant see myself not going to Olympics what ever the cost it is.
It's a once in a life time opportunity and I won't miss it for the world.
I understand that we have to pack all our photography equipments in a bag no bigger than 30x20x20cm.
I will be going with my other half so does that mean both of us can carry a bag each?
That way one of us can take my 100-400 in its original bag and other person can take the camera and a...
I know everyone advised me to go to Brands for better photography .I think I will put photography behind for this week and make it a family day out .That way I can experience Silverstone for free of charge as well .
Since I will have to pay for brands, I will go in a following week.
I am also still trying to decide between two , Since I havent been to Silverstone before I might as well make it as a family day out , and try Brands next week .
Ok this might look like a silly question to some of you .so please be kind .

I know this an old thread but I will leave my experience here if anyone come across this thread .
I had the same concerns couple of months ago regarding 100-400mm + 1.4X or 2X extenders . I couldn't find a proper answer anywhere so I went ahead and bought 100-400mm cannon , Kenko 1.4 MC7...
Will I be able to take DSLR +Zoom lens to Olympic games? any event ?
I haven't got any tickets yet BTW ,heard they have started second chance raffle these days .
Cheers guys ,
I was shooting in low ISO but softness is more due to 2X extender on 100-400 mm I think .Slow shutter speeds as well
I was shooting in manual mode but I am still very very new in this hobby.
I shot these photos under heavy sunlight . All the faces of the dark skinned players were almost impossible to identify . Then I reduced the contrast but still it was not 100% right .Later on pictures were alright under the overcast conditions.
Thanks in advance
