    Beginner New to photography

I like the idea, but the tree kind of gets a little lost within the other trees. Perhaps if you got closer so just the single tree was framed then it might work better. Try to expose so the sky is not so blown, it might work if the tree is a siloute and the sky is visible. Keep trying. Keep...

Canon EF 24-105mm f4 L IS USM Lens

I bought one of these a few weeks back, and WOW , you start to understand that the glass infront of the camera is THE key, i thought my other lenes were good (and to be honest they are) but the 24-105 blows them away, super sharp, even in low light, you wont be dissapointed

    400D and a 100-400 L lens

Thanks for the replys guys. i note with some trepidation the size of the lens on the 400D, i do have the grip fitted, so guess it wont look so unbalanced. A thought i did have was, does one need a licence to carry this in public as it looks like it could cause some serious injury lol :bonk:

    400D and a 100-400 L lens

Many thanks for the advice, i did wonder if the 70-200 IS L with a 1.4 convertor might be a better buy since it would give me a bigger range

    400D and a 100-400 L lens

Simple question really, i use a 75-300 IS lens at the moment with a 400D. i am thinking about a 100-400 IS L lens to replace the 75-300 Would i see any real difference ?, would the rather steep price tag be worth it? any thought or help much appriciated mike
