Website / wp expert advice & help plz

Oh? And there was me thinking that after 12 years as a web developer, I'd have picked up something resembling a clue. I must keep trying.

Splitting an ethernet cable into two

In that case, what arad85 suggests may be a better option. Stick an access point point that has a few ethernet ports at the end - that way you get gigabit ethernet and wireless. You get

    27" Thunderbolt Display

I have two because that's the only way I can connect two monitors to my Macbook Pro. If it wasn't for that requirement, I'd have likely opted for a Dell with a similar size and resolution.

The biggest issue with wordpress of course is changing all the URLs inside wordpress and the GUIDs on posts. There are step by step instructions here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress#Moving_Directories_On_Your_Existing_Server Unfortunately, part of my day-job is Wordpress...

Splitting an ethernet cable into two

What are you trying to achieve? You can run a 100mbps link with two pairs, so you can run two ethernet connections via one 4 pair cable. Adapters exist for exactly this purpose - I'd opt for an adapter or another double faceplate at the router end rather than trying to wire one cable to two...

The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

2.8. I'm sure that 1.4 looks impressive, but far more money than I could ever spend on a lens.

The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

So my A7 and 35mm arrived. Annoyingly, it arrived with the battery completely flat. It seems to be taking forever to charge with this 0.5 amp charger - why have Sony supplied such a poxy little charger for a camera like this? Anyone have any idea how long a charge takes from empty to full...

The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

I bought mine from MPB with a 35mm. I couldn't find the combination cheaper anywhere else apart from the chap on here selling the same + a cheap EF adapter and kit lens for £100 more but with no warranty.

The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

What's the AF like? I've seen some on eBay for as little as £40-60 I don't understand why people are obligated to sell something for what they paid for it? I've regularly sold things for more than I paid for them - I generally pay what I'm willing to pay for an item and then when I want to...

The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

Hi guys, I've just picked up an A7 + 35mm that arrives tomorrow. Coming from a list of Canon SLRs (400D, 550D, 650D, 6D, 5D) - I'm hoping I find myself carrying this camera more now considering it's size/weight. Are there any essential accessories etc. that I should look at? Any bargain...

its all kicking off over on sonyalpharumors.

Have you seen the distortion on the Zeiss 24-70? I suspect in some cases, it can be worked around and that Sigmas real issue is that they can't just take an existing lens design and chuck an E-Mount on to it.

SDHC to CF Adapters - Speed etc.

Is anyone actually using SHDC cards via a CF adapter at reasonable speeds? I have a ton of high speed SHDC cards from my last two cameras, however, I've just purchased a 5Dc and whilst just being able to reuse them would be handy, it'd also be handy to avoid the use of an external CF reader (my...

    Canon 70D or Sony RX100 (mk 2 or 3)

I think I'd struggle to deal with the hit in IQ changing completely to a camera with a sensor nearly 50% smaller. Why not see if you can pick up a used RX100, give it a go and if you don't like it, the chances are you'll be able to sell it on with little to no loss.

    Landscapes with bright sun

I got some cheap grads - it looks like I will need to stack all three when shooting into the sun, but a quick test through the viewfinder has the sky looking awesome - a lovely deep blue.
