Not sure what Rebel it is, but I don't think it's a pin that I've damaged. It's whatever acts as the locking mechanism for the push to eject system. Whereas you'd normally push down, you get that little click sound and the card would stay down until you pushed again, with mine now it doesn't...
OK great thanks, I checked and it does indeed work. I had to do some ridiculous work around becuase I don't have the original CD with the EOS utility on it anymore and you can only download an updater from Canon which requires an original CD / instillation. Luckily there's a guide to add a key...
I have a Canon 550D which I use to take photos of miniature models - so stationary and from home.
I havent used it in a while but I dug it out today, took some photos, removed the CF card to transfer to my computer, then wanted to take some more photos. When I put the card back in, it felt like...
Thanks for the responses.
I don't really need 1:1 macro and I'd really like to be able to get away without focus stacking. I could do that with the A7iii + 90mm macro, but perhaps I'm asking too much for the budget vs that (clearly not expecting equivalent image quality!). If I need to focus...
Photos look nice & sharp. How do the extension tubes affect depth of field? Ideally I want to be able to take a single photo at a high aperture and capture a decent depth of field.
Hi All,
looking for some advice please. I sold all my camera equipment recently and use my iPhone for everything now. There’s plenty of compromise to do this, but I’m happy making them for the ease of use.
One area of photography I can’t do well with an iPhone is close-up / macro. I paint...
Well I have worked it out, turns out I've always had silent shooting turned on, which doesn't count towards shutter count. The silent shooting must have been over-ridden with certain shots, hence it has increased over time. So I guess that means I can sell the camera with only a 100 shots on...
Yes it was straight off the sd card.
I tried multiple shots from the same day and they all showed the same shutter count.
It’s likely to be only 1-2 k shots, maximum, but I’d like to know.
Hi, I'm trying to find the shutter count for my A7iii in order to sell it, but I can't seem to get a sensible number out of the EXIF data. I tried some software called PIE and an online tool, they both say my latest photo has a shutter count of 88, which is not correct.
Any ideas why that data...
2 votes for the Sony remote.
I forgot the app had changed to the imaging edge one, so I’ve got that working ok. Is there a way to focus and not take a shot?
I’ve looked into it, but the I can’t get the app to work. Is there a guide you can recommend?
Good to know that works with the a7; is it IR or Bluetooth? I don’t mind wired to be honest as I’m not going to be far from the camera
Hadn't thought of that, good point.
Yes, I meant to practice on the cheapo before getting a decent one. But I think I'd rather just find somewhere to buy them. I'll contact a few places and see what comes up.
Cheers guys. I've looked at buying from b&h in the US, shipping as a fair amount but I didn't think of buying as a group. I'll look into that, thanks for the idea.
I do not trust myself to paint one! Maybe I'll get a cheapo and try painting or sanding off the black.
