    Any Pembrey experts?

Either hairpin is good for start shots. Bear in mind you are stuck on the inside or outside of the circuit when the track is live, you have to cross the track between sessions. There's no bridge or tunnel!

Trackside passes for non professionals at Le Mans

Unless you meet the criteria for a press pass, you won't get a trackside pass. They aren't for sale or anything like that! Best advice is not to worry about taking photos too much, and go and enjoy yourself. I work as a motorsport photographer, but I've been to Le Mans plenty of times as a...

First time on the other side

I've got a Think Tank roller for dragging it all there, and a small Billingham shoulder bag for spare flash, lens etc. at the circuit. Sometimes use a vest too, but don't like too many bags trackside!

First time on the other side

Loads of good corners at Rockingham - get there early and have a look round as the obvious ones are not always the best. If you need any help, let me know, I will be there all weekend.

    Getting trackside

I would've thought most publications would like a pic of the first corner of the first race of the year, particularly when something dramatic could happen there??

Do professional togs still enjoy photography as a hobby?

I do. Took about 700 pictures in a weeks holiday, which I thought was quite good between all the drinking and sunbathing. Nice to do something different with no pressure.

    Wales Rally GB 2009

Timetable seems a bit shorter than last year. Not that I'm complaining, it's probably the hardest work I do all year!

Are my photos good enough to sell?

I think, looking at the examples in the first page of the this post, who's going to buy those pictures. No doubt friends and families will be impressed, but there's nothing ground breaking that we haven't seen before. You need to find something unique and sort your marketing if you seriously...

Chris Martins MASSIVE crash @ Brands hatch

Impressive crash! It drops down behind the barrier as well, and is full of nice prickly bushes and stuff...

Best way to deal with hot pixels?

Is this a Nikon specific problem? Because I've never seen it happen on a Canon, and I've used several, but the two Nikons I've had have both had it...

In addition to a nifty 50, what lens would you take to a wedding?

    I don't do weddings - but I'd have an 85 1.8 (got that myself and it's far nicer than the 50 1.8 which I assume you are using), a 70-200 2.8, and a wideangle like a 16-35 2.8.
