Michael Smith

Hi everyone. I'm Michael from Burnley in Lancashire.

I started photography around 4 years ago after the death of a very close friend and I used it to take my mind away from the grief. I haven't looked back.

I started photographing wildlife....landscapes.....motorsports and aviation, until I did a course on portraiture lighting techniques and weddings and I have not realised that's where my passion lies.
I have already done 2 weddings and around 6 or 7 photo shoots with more lined up. In between the photo shoots I like to work with models so I can practice my techniques and trial ideas before putting them to use in a paid shoot with a client.

I still shoot aviation and motorsports as it is a keen hobby of mine.


One day I hope to turn something I love doing into a full time job and become a professional wedding and portrait photographer.
