Hey all, thanks for the comments. I use a 17-85 IS zoom but its 4 - 5.6 so maybe I should be looking at faster lenses. Thanks again and any lens suggestions really welcomed!

I regularly shoot at a local music venue with my EOS40D. The lighting in there is terrible and a lot of the bands don't like flash (nor do i if i can avoid it) so I'm thinking of upgrading to either a 7D or 5D Mk2. Any comments or recommendations for the best option for low light gig photography...
