    canon 60d owners thread

Iv'e had the 60D for about 18 months now and still love it, and can't fault the IQ. I use a sigma 17-70 OS lens and find its got a great range, and very sharp. Other lens are siggy, 10-20mm f4.5/5.6, nifty fifty,100mm macro, i did have the canon 70-200 f4l, but sold it for a tamron 70-300mm sp...

    600d flash suggestions?

The only flashes that will work wirelessly with the built in control will be the canon ones i believe. You can get a cheaper flash and buy wireless triggers, but that will start to bring you up to the budget of a canon flash. Using wireless triggers you will also need to work in full manual...

    Event Flash

i would say as the guests are arriving, so a red carpet. Its a 30 year company anniversary, with about 400 people working there. Not all will be there as it open 24 hrs. Was thinking of getting a softbox and stand to fire the flash through. and the other flash for background if needed.

I have 2 flashes and thats all both can be used off camera, with cheap ebay remotes, or 1 can be used with my Canon 60D wirelessly. its a...

Upgrading from Canon 450d.. what to get?

Went from a 450D to a 600D and much the same body and using it was similar, apart from the screen i would of though it was the same camera. Now using a 60D and a world of difference, i would go with a camera higher up the range ie, from a xxxD to a xxD so the 40D sounds a good staring place. It...

Canon 7d built in wireless flash control help

blocking the internal will maybe not sent the correct data to the remote flash. not sure though. On the 60D there are 3 settings so not sure if quite the same on the 7D, i know the 600D is a bit more advanced than on the 60D for the wireless settings as we have one as well. 60d shows from top...

Canon 7d built in wireless flash control help

The built in Flash only fires a Pre flash, to trigger and send the ttl readings to the remote flash unless asked not to, have you set it to fire the off camera flash only there is normally 3 setting, one for both, one for just remote, and one to adjust the flash ratio.
