Will the arrival of the D3200 signal a price drop on the 5100? Don't want to buy now if it will fall in a few weeks...

Looking at the new Nikon 3200 but it only does 12 bit RAW - I assume to compensate lifting Mpx too 24 - is the loss of 14 bit significant? Or is the uplift in Mpx and new speed processor a better option than say an older Canon550 with 18 Mpx and 14 bit RAW?

I note a lot of digigood "new" goods are in fact refurbishments on shallow warranties. That doesn't sound too appealing to me...

Given the comparative expense of a good DSLR, is film photography on old manual twin lens reflex cameras a genuine option for new starters?

What are the pros and cons? Both carry the same pixel count but I want to understand which is the best format to capture my images in and why (or not) others are less favourable. Thanks

I am a complete newbie and am intrigued by the value in second hand models. I suspect reputable forums and friends are more secure but at what point do Ebay prices become attractive? Is there a real risk of grey market and or decoys or damaged goods? Thanks
