Question for all you RX100 users. I'm just wondering if and what tripods people are using. I bought a Manfrotto Pixi for going away with which helped me get some really nice shots but I feel a normal one would be of use when I need the camera set higher up. They are probably overkill for a small...
Afternoon RX100 owners of TP. I have just picked up a MK2 but not had a chance to play with it yet but was wondering if there are any settings people can recommend changing to get the best from this camera? I will be shooting in RAW if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance.
@billn I do not own one just yet but after looking at the differences when I was recommended this camera, I decided I liked the mk2 based on the fact I didn't think I would use the pop up viewfinder or the selfie mode. Plus it is a little more pricey.
Ideally I probably would but it is just funding it. That being said, our wedding is only 8 weeks away and have asked for a cash gift from people. This was to put towards honeymoon spends but could maybe stretch to a new camera also allowing my to keep the DSLR.
Only problem I have now after...
Exactly what I'm thinking as most of mine are still on hard drives.
I had thought about keeping it as if I ever wanted to replace what I have it was cost a fair bit. The plan though, was to use the cash towards the new camera however much that maybe be. With what I have I don't think I would...
Thanks for all the replies. I've almost made my mind up that I will probably sell the Canon set up and give the Sony a try. As it has been mentioned above, its surprising how much technology has come along. The only reason I bought the DLSR was to replace an ageing Panasonic Lumix compact and at...
Thanks for the replies. I wouldn't say I am well up on what is available/best for the camera I have so which I why I came here. Doesn't have to be an L no. I just assumed they were better lenses but if they don't suit the crop sensor then I have learnt something today :)
Odd Jim, I have just...
Morning everyone. Just after a little help please. We are off to Canada for our honeymoon in September and I am looking to hire a decent lens to take with me. Camera is a Canon 40D and looking for an L lens to go with it. Currently own the standard kit lens, 70-300 telephoto and 50mm prime but...
Thanks for the replies. I had a word with him again about it last night and he said this is what he'd do. I'm borrowing a flash of a mate at work and gonna have a practice tomorrow night after I've done my session.
I have been asked by my kickboxing instructor if I would take some photo's of the kids grading session which is in September. I took some action shots at a charity fight a couple of months ago which he liked and approached me to so some work for him in the future.
I said yeah that wouldn't be...
The 1000D was my first camera and I found it a good first camera to learn on. I have just recently upgraded to a 40D which is having its first proper test this Saturday at Waddington.
Thanks for the info
I had been looking at the 100-400 but just needed some clarification. Its around £80 for 3 days hire plus delivery there and back. Would be nice to have a play with one to see how I get on.
Nice pics Donki
Modchild - Yeah I went to Waddo a couple of...
I am off to Waddington at the end of the month weather permitting and thinking about hiring a lens. I have used my Canon 70-300 IS with some reasonable results but as I can't afford something better I fancy hiring one.
Been looking here http://www.lensesforhire.co.uk/ but not sure what would...
