Lumix S 24-105 macro - question for owners!

Thank you so much Richard! That's really helpful. It gets impressively close I've got to say, for a full frame lens! Cheers!

Lumix S 24-105 macro - question for owners!

Hi everyone! I've tried searching for this but to no avail! I'm looking for a good macro (semi macro) zoom for a full frame camera (any system, the body will be bought for the lens as this is for a permanent studio setup). Presently I use a 12-40mm Oly 43 lens, which produces a magnification of...

Panasonic GX7 wifi tether with Lightroom?

Ok, so connect your android to your wireless router (which I presume your PC is also connected to by either wireless or LAN cable, doesn't matter which) then use a sync app like Folder Sync by JRT studio. I've not used that specific app but it should be just a case of setting up a local folder...

Panasonic GX7 wifi tether with Lightroom?

Do you have a wireless router? Most apps need the two to be on the same network.

    Panasonic GX7 or Olympus PL5

The cameras are pretty close, so I think it's more of a preference thing. You'll probably like either, but if you can get an opportunity to try both in hand that would be the best way to decide.

Panasonic GX7 wifi tether with Lightroom?

Why not set your phone up to automatically send the pictures it gets from the GX7 to your PC? There are quite a few sync apps out there. You could set it up so that the GX7 first transfers to your phone, and then your phone syncs the folder with your PC whenever they're both on.

Laptop or Computer for PP etc

Yeah, definitely PC for serious work. I mean, you can certainly do what you need to on a laptop (I used one for a while plugged into a screen with a mouse and keyboard), but for the same price you can get a much more capable desktop and it does make a difference when you're using it. I also...

    Calibrator recommendations.

I use a spyder 4, and while it's decent at general calibration it's not perfect. It's better at calibrating gamma than it is colour. For example, calibration between CCFL screens is reasonably consistent - skin tones tend to end up the same between screens. When it comes to LED backlit screens...

    DIY Equipment

So I just registered and saw this thread, which is pretty cool as I'm really into DIY stuff, so I'll make it my first post (hi!) DIY Ring light... more complicated than beyond the blue's I guess, but worth sharing I thought. While it's more useful for video, I've actually been using it for...
